Dr. Saviour Achilike, MD, MPH – Neurologist & Epileptologist

Dr. Saviour Achilike brings a unique blend of professional expertise and community commitment to the Lathrop Juneteenth Heritage Committee. A highly accomplished neurologist and epileptologist, Dr. Achilike has over a decade of experience specializing in epilepsy and stroke care. He is affiliated with leading medical institutions, including St. David's South Austin Medical Center and Methodist Hospital, where he provides cutting-edge neurological care with compassion and dedication.

Dr. Achilike earned his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston and completed his Master of Public Health (MPH) at Johns Hopkins University. His extensive training equips him with a deep understanding of healthcare systems and patient advocacy, which he applies both in his profession and his community work.

As a member of the Lathrop Juneteenth Heritage Committee, Dr. Achilike is passionate about honoring the legacy of Juneteenth and fostering unity through education and celebration. His commitment to service extends beyond medicine, as he works tirelessly to uplift the community and ensure the annual Juneteenth celebration reflects the resilience, history, and culture it commemorates.
