Volunteer Role Descriptions

Event Set‑Up Crew

  • Purpose — Prepare the event space for a smooth, beautiful celebration.

  • Core Duties — Set up tents, tables, chairs, signage, décor, water stations, and vendor areas.

  • Ideal For — Volunteers comfortable with physical tasks and teamwork.

Event Tear‑Down

  • Purpose — Restore the space efficiently and responsibly after the event.

  • Core Duties — Break down tents and tables, collect trash/recycling, pack supplies, assist vendors with load‑out, ensure the site is clean.

  • Ideal For — Volunteers who work well in coordinated, fast‑paced end‑of‑day tasks.

General Assistance

  • Purpose — Provide flexible support wherever needed throughout the event.

  • Core Duties — Assist with line flow, help vendors or activity leads, run quick errands, support ADA needs, fill gaps as directed by event leads.

  • Ideal For — Adaptable volunteers who like variety and problem‑solving.

Hospitality Support

  • Purpose — Keep the community hydrated throughout the outdoor celebration.

  • Core Duties — Distribute water, monitor supply levels, restock coolers, maintain a clean booth area.

  • Ideal For — Volunteers who like steady, people‑facing roles.

Stage Hands

  • Purpose — Support the Stage Coordinator by managing the physical and logistical needs of performers.

  • Core Duties — Assist with equipment placement, help performers transition on/off stage, manage cables, move chairs or props, relay updates to the coordinator.

  • Ideal For — Calm, focused volunteers comfortable working near live performances.
